The Red Bank Veterinary Hospital Healthcare Network consists of 24-hour emergency, critical care and specialty hospitals throughout New Jersey that offer the most current procedures and state-of-the art equipment to treat all of your pet’s health care needs. The main location, today located in Tinton Falls, first opened its doors on June 23, 1986 at 4:30 p.m. in Red Bank, NJ. The hospital was founded by Anthony DeCarlo, VMD and Thomas Trotter, VMD on three principles that still apply today:

RBVH History Timeline

1986	Thomas Trotter, VMD and Anthony DeCarlo, VMD purchase Red Bank Animal Hospital at 37 Newman Springs Road, Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Doors open June 23, 1986 at 4:30 p.m. under the new name Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.
1986	Dr. Anthony DeCarlo first pioneered the use of MRI on small animals at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1986, he brings this cutting edge technology to Monmouth County, New Jersey.
1988	Red Bank Veterinary Hospital receives its first community recognition.
1990	RBVH moves to a larger building at 210 Newman Springs Road, Red Bank, New Jersey.
1993	To celebrate Red Bank Veterinary Hospital as a teaching institution, the hospital holds an intern party. The first intern class has two graduates. The class size continues to grow and eventually specialty internships and residencies are added.
1993	The site for the new hospital once housed the Tri Tac building. It had been built for, and leased to, Fort Monmouth and was a center of operations for an international task force developing field communications for the armies of the United States, Australia and Canada.
2003	RBVH plans a major expansion in order to accommodate the growing demand for specialty services.
2003	On July 1, 2003, RBVH opens South Jersey Veterinary Emergency Service, a 24-hour emergency hospital located in Linwood, New Jersey.
2003	The staff of Red Bank Veterinary Hospital creates the Red Bank Veterinary Foundation to assist pet owners who pets need medical treatment but have no financial means to provide it. An independent board assumes leadership in 2007 and the name is changed to the Save U.S. Pets Foundation.
2004	The groundbreaking ceremony for the new building takes place on August 9, 2003. Employees move into the custom-built 58,000 square foot building on December 18, 2004.
2005	The former location of Red Bank Veterinary Hospital becomes the RBVH Physical Rehabilitation Center, home to physical rehabilitation, medical boarding and acupuncture.
2006	Red Bank Veterinary Hospital celebrates its move 197 Hance Avenue, Tinton Falls with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 23, 2006. This day also marks the 20th anniversary of Red Bank Veterinary Hospital.
2007	The Wyatt Goldthwaite Veterinary Blood Bank is created thanks to a generous donation made by the Goldthwaite family in memory of their beloved dog Wyatt.
2008	Red Bank Veterinary Hospital expands its emergency and specialty care into Cherry Hill and Hillsborough. The new hospitals are named RBVH Cherry Hill and RBVH Hillsborough. South Jersey Veterinary Emergency Service changes its name to RBVH Linwood.
2008	To encompass all of the hospitals in the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital family, the term RBVH Veterinary Healthcare Network is developed.
2011	Red Bank Veterinary celebrates 25 years of caring, compassion and a commitment to excellence.
